empact
What is empact?

empact is an HR and employment law service designed by Berwins Solicitors to
provide employers with cost-effective and cost-controlled assurance in dealing
with employment law issues.
In particular, empact can provide an insurance-backed employment law and HR advice
product. You pay a fixed sum for on-demand support (usually on a monthly retainer
basis) and in the unlikely event that your business faces employment tribunal
proceedings, the insurance cover pays the cost of defending those proceedings.
What can empact do for my business?
From the outset we work with our clients to identify their core areas of concern
and then devise an appropriate, fixed-cost strategy for addressing those areas.
In addition to the insurance-backed employment law and HR advice product, Empact
can:
-
undertake a fixed-cost audit of your existing employment documentation – including
not just contracts and policies but also pre-employment documentation such as
offer letters and medical questionnaires;
-
provide revised and updated documents (again at a fixed price);
-
train your staff on employment law and HR issues;
-
offer fixed price subscription to a telephone advice helpline
and much more besides…
Why empact?
-
empact is cost-effective.
-
empact focuses on client satisfaction, exceeding expectations and development
of long-term relationships.
-
empact doesn’t use scare tactics or recommend that you pay insurance premiums
if your business has good people practices and few employment tribunal claims
in recent history.
-
empact gives your business access to specialists in employment law – not a call-centre
staffed by non-legally trained staff.
-
empact stands by the quality of its service and as such does not tie clients
in with 3 or 5 year non-terminable agreements. If your business doesn’t reap the
rewards of using Empact, you can terminate the arrangement by giving 3 months’
notice.
How would empact assess our business needs?
Our first step is to utilise the unique empact diagnostic tool – the empact SQR
– to diagnose the condition of your business, the environment in which it functions
and its corporate objectives.
The empact SQR helps prioritise those areas that require immediate attention
(the “red alert” zones), the areas that could benefit from some improvement (“amber
status” areas) and those that are not a concern for now (“green light” issues).
In carrying out the empact SQR, we will obtain a detailed understanding of the
way that your business operates. This will place us in a uniquely strong position
to give your business pragmatic and commercial recommendations and advice.
