E-Commerce

Berwins have been involved in the legal aspects of website development in e-commerce since 1998 as e-commerce took off in the public perception. We have been involved in providing advice and education in the efficacy of e-commerce solutions, the content of websites, and the agreements necessary to develop websites, as well as on the ownership of website content, hand in hand with our work in relation to information technology and intellectual property generally.

 

We have assisted and can assist either start-up or established internet based companies or companies with internet presences with such aspects as:

Berwins have played a pioneering role in relation to this and are able to provide services not normally available within traditional law firms.

 

Berwins’ managing partner Paul Berwin is a member of the Society for Computers and Law, has written for the Society’s journal, and is the only solicitor in North Yorkshire recommended in the Legal 500 directory for work on Intellectual Property matters (of which Information Technology Law forms part).
