Resolving Problems

 

If you have any problem with the service we have provided for you then please let us know. We will try to resolve any problems promptly between ourselves and operate an internal complaints procedure to help us do so. If for any reason we are unable to resolve the problem between ourselves, then we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority which also provides a complaints and redress scheme.

 

 

Professional Indemnity Insurance

 

Berwins maintains professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the rules of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Details of the insurers and the territorial coverage of the policy are available for inspection at our offices

 

 

Financial Services

 

This firm is not authorised by the Financial Services Authority under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. However we are included in the register maintained by the Financial Services Authority so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity. This means broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts where this is incidental to the professional services we have been engaged to provide. This part of our business is also regulated by the Law Society, and the register can be accessed via the Financial Services Authority at www.fsa.gov.uk/register
